This post is a cross between my voice over business and my writing.

Most of the time, when I go to comic cons, I go there to promote myself as a writer. By now I'm sure most of you know that I'm not only a voice actor but I'm also a published author. I wrote the Tercona book series.

Tercona: Book 1 - Our New Home

Tercona: Book 2 - Dr. Q & The Banana Gun

and my newest book, Tercona: Book 3 - Trinity's Traps.

The weekend of March 24th & 25th I will be at Gem City Comic Con in Dayton.

I will also be doing a panel on voice acting - Intruduction To Basic Voice Acting - on Saturday at 11am. So far this is the ONLY time this year I am scheduled to do my panel on voice acting. That could change, but so far...this is it.

On  April 28th & 29th I'll be going to S.P.A.C.E. (Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo)

That's it so far. I hope to see you at a comic con or comic book store soon.

2017 was a good year for my voice over career. As I prepare to make some changes in my marketing and my career for the upcoming 2018 year I wanted to take a look back at some of the voice over jobs I did in 2017.

My voice was used on a lot of explainer videos like this one....

On this next video they wanted a "movie trailer" type of voice so I gave them my best Don Lafataine.

Free Comic Book Day

Posted by frankjamesbailey on May 1, 2017 at 11:45 AM Comments comments (0)

This website is mostly for promoting my voice over business. Most of the time my blogs are about my voice over jobs and voice over tips.

On the other hand, as most of you know, I am not just a voice actor I am also a published author too. I'd be crazy not to talk about my writing every now and then.

Most of 2016 was spent promoting my first book "Tercona: Book 1 - Our New Home." I went to book stores, comic book stores and comic cons.

This Saturday (May 6th) I will debut my second book, "Tercona: Book 2 - DR. Q & The Banana Gun" at Alter Ego Comics in Lima, OH.

This Saturday is also happens to be Free Comic Book Day. Get free comics, face painting for the kids, stickers, temerary tattoos and much more.

There will be many people dressed at there favorite superhero. Cosplayers both old and young. My daughter Paige will cospaly as Tercona this Saturday when I debut my second book.

So I hope to see you this weekend for Free Comic Book Day at Alter Ego Comics.

This weekend (Sat. April 1 & Sun. April 2) I will be at the Gem City Comic Con, at the Dayton Convention Center, in Dayton, OH. This will be my first comic con of 2017.

Most of the time I try to keep this website (and this blog) about voice acting. My voice and video demos are on this site, I blog about tips on how to manage your time, what websites to check out and avoid and I post about some of the jobs I've done.  Most of the time when I go to a comic con, I go to promote my book "Tercona: Book 1 - Our New Home."

However, at the Gem City Comic Con I am also doing a panel on voice acting called "Introduction To Basic Voice Acting with Frank James Bailey." It will be in Panel room A at 11am on Sat. 4 / 1.

So if you've ever thought about doing voice overs, voice acting and you want to know more about this business, I'll give you a few tips on how to get started.

Why I voice a lot of explainer videos.

Posted by frankjamesbailey on February 27, 2017 at 7:55 PM Comments comments (0)

I voice a lot of explainer videos. I have been doing so for a long time time. It's one of the voice jobs I specialize in. The reason I can voice these videos really good is because an explainer video is like an Internet commercial. I voiced a LOT of radio & TV commercials through my 20 year radio career from 1989 - 2009. I am very good at helping you get your message acress. I have the experience to know what words to express and what words to not to. When to sound soft and when to really sell it hard.

Below are just a few of the explainer videos that I was hired to put my voice on through out the past 10 years are so.

This website is mostly for promoting my voice over business. Most of the time my blogs are about my voice over jobs and voice over tips.

On the other hand, as most of you know, I am not just a voice actor I am also a published author too. I'd be crazy not to talk about my writing every now and then.

So I wanted to take this time to say - Thank You - to all my fans who have followed me from the moment I started creating Tercona to now.

In the year since Tercona has been publish I have gained a LOT of new friends on Facebook and other social media sites too. A lot of voice actor friends, artists and creators but mostly kids and teens. It's that audience I want to talk to right now.

As a father myself I want to protect my kids but I also want them to have fun. Life is to short not to smile everyday. This is why I never talk about politics or religion.

My fans make great fan art of Tercona like this one from artist named Washkoi (real name Mary Taylor.) Thank's Mary.

Here is more fan art from an artist named Ally. She drew Tercona in her own style. Thanks Ally.

And here is a meme made by a fan. Her name is Kim Green from Columbus, OH. She loves Tercona and ranks her right up there with her favorite superheros. Thank you so much Kim. It's nice to know that you think Tercona is in the same league as Wonder Woman and Kim Possible.

Finally, I want to thank Alter Ego comics in Lima, OH for putting my book on display in their store. I hope to have my book (or rather BOOKS) in more stores in 2017!

I want to make Tercona into a cartoon someday but I know the harsh reality is I am WAY far away from that yet. However, it's YOU the fans who have been there from the very start that will help make this dream come true. YOU help spread the word about Tercona. YOU make great fan art, memes and fan fics of Tercona. It's all thanks to YOU, the fans!

It's your love for this blue haired superhero on a flying surfboard, Tercona, that will help make it into a cartoon....someday.

So to that I say - Thank You!
